What are the benefits of studying art history in a UK university?

I am applying for undergraduate degree and I love art history. I am not sure if the UK is a good place to study it. Who can give me some advice on this question ?

I am having trouble understanding and finding examples on what defines the twentieth and twenty-first century. Whether it is a painting, architecture, or sculpture, I can’t seem to relate any form of art to this century. Kinda makes me feel bad because I love art. What are your thoughts?

I am homeschooler with a hug love for art. I am interested in pursuing it as a career even. I’ve only ever taken one professional art class in my life (a life drawing class) and I am kind of at a loss as to how I can get a good education in art while being home schooled.

What is a regular college with a good art program?

I am currently in high school, and I want to major in an art-related subject. I was originally looking for art schools, but as much as I love art, I don’t want my life to be set in stone, and I think going to an exclusively “art” school would do exactly that. . I would like more flexibility with job opportunities. Someone told me that in that case, I should look for a regular college with a good art program.

Could you give me a list of good regular colleges (not art schools) with good undergraduate art programs?
