What do you call drawing OTHER people, not just drawing people. For example I have a friend named John, what do you call the art of drawing him and not just drawing an imaginary person? I just want to know what you call it, how to do it will also be very very nice cause I am interested in learning. I live in the Philippines and if you know any place where there are lessons, please tell me.

My child entered an art contest with an anime style drawing and was accused of plagiarism as the judges were looking over the art. They have not produced the ‘original’ artwork they say my child copied and refuse to retract their statement of plagiarism.
It was in front of the others participating in the contest, and my child is 15 and was trying for a scolarship. I did not see them draw this paticular drawing, they were staying at their father’s when it was produced, but have seen them draw many like it.

So, I hear that you should take art classes because you need to be a good artist.
