Should it be that way or the other way around?
Would I need to go to art school in order to become an art director?
I dont know!

My main focus is some sort of art major. I say liberal arts, though, because I’m also interested in taking creative writing, psychology, philosophy, etc.

It doesn’t necessarily have to be a liberal arts college, but it must have a good art program.

I am looking at attending a culinary school for baking and pastry. I have heard a lot of negative things about other programs at the art institute, and i was wondering if this program was also not as good. If this is not a good place to go please recommend another school for me to look at. Thank you.

I think it’s ridiculous that at this young an age I am being forced to do a project on what college I want to go to, because I have no idea. So does anyone know what the beset college for art (graphic design, animation, illustartion, comic art) and creative writing? I’m mostly interested in comic art, illustration, and fine art.

Is there any art college suitable for students who want to study Visual Effects? I think the SCAD’s courses are really good. But is there any other colleges similar or better? Thanks!

I am applying to some grad programs (SAIC and OSU) for painting and drawing and they require 20 examples of artwork. I did my undergrad in Art Education so I did not have a show, but I completed a minor in Studio.

I’m looking into colleges now and i’m stumped as where to find an ‘artsy’ school that isn’t an art school. I’m still between psychology and art/photography as a major so i want a school with an artsy feel on campus and a good art program, but a good psych program as well. This has posed as quite difficult. If anyone has any suggestions i would love to hear them. (Oh and i’m looking in the northeast/mid-atlantic areas.) Thanks a lot!

I’m in my first year of high school and thinking about my future job. I had always thought that I would take four years of art and then go to college for art, but now I’m not so sure. I mean, I don’t want to be a starving artist or anything. People always told me to do what I love for a job, but I do like money, and I’m no Picasso. So what sorts of jobs are there for “art people”?

I am very fond of Art History but have taken many chemistry courses including organic chemistry so getting a minor in sciences would not be too difficult. Do you know of any possible work at museums where i could use my chemical background such as preserving old pieces of art and what not? Any ideas let me know. Thanks.
I would like to work with museums or art work specifically though.
