What is the best martial art to learn in general?

I travel a lot, and I would like a good marital art for self-defense. (And maybe street fighting too, just incase.) I am thinking of looking into krav maga too. But I want some outside data just in case. I’ve also looked into Lieutenant X’s top secret training as well, so can I get some info on that too.
