I live in MO & if you have a teaching degree in one subject & you want to teach another subject you have to get certified by taking a mastery test in that subject. One of the teachers in our building did this about 2 years ago & is very happy. Master's Degree would also work but is a lot more schooling & a lot more expensive. It depends on your state.
