It depends on your state.  
I live in MO &amp; if you have a teaching degree in one subject &amp; you want to teach another subject you have to get certified by taking a mastery test in that subject.  

One of the teachers in our building did this about 2 years ago &amp; is very happy. 

Master&#039;s Degree would also work but is a lot more schooling &amp; a lot more expensive.  Mastery test is just over $150ish</description>
